Refined to the point of restraint — and all the more powerful for it. A floating oval backrest in smooth champagne leather hovers independently between two dark ebony uprights, connected by a pair of slim polished brass arms that run straight and true from post to backrest like a perfectly drawn line. The join where brass meets wood is finished with a tapered gold ferrule — a small detail that does enormous work, tying the warmth of the metal to the darkness of the frame in one precise gesture. The seat cushion is generous and low, the same champagne leather, calm and inviting. Four dark tapered legs splay slightly outward, grounded and assured. A chair where every decision was made with the understanding that in great design, knowing what to leave out is as important as knowing what to put in.
