Nature fossilised in gold. Two stump-form side tables — each one a mirror-polished gold casting of a tree trunk cross-section, irregular, organic, their surfaces rippling with the ridges and grooves of bark frozen in metal — stand beside each other like two artefacts pulled from a forest that exists only in imagination. The top of each piece is raw and crackled, as if the gold cooled too quickly and split in the most beautiful way possible. The sides are smooth and reflective, catching the room around them and bending it into something golden. No two are identical — like real stumps, each one carries its own silhouette, its own character, its own quiet history.
